Delegation

Delegation is a British disco and soul-funk group active from 1975 to 1999. The line-up includes Ricky Bailey, Len Coley, Ray Patterson, Roddy Harris, Bruce Dunbar and Kathy Bryant, and the group is associated with disco, funk, hi-NRG, R&B and soul.

Career

The band begins recording in the late 1970s with the singles “The Promise Of Love” and “Put A Little Love On Me”. It becomes known for a run of charting songs in the UK, across Europe and in the US, and for appearing on the British television programme Top Of The Pops.

Albums and songs

Delegation releases several albums: Delegation, Eau De Vie, Delegation II, Deuces High and Encore. Among the songs linked with the group is “Where Is The Love” (also listed as “We Used To Know”).

Later activity

Ricky Bailey remains central to the act in later years, with the Delegation band continuing under his leadership.
