Declan Mckenna
Declan Mckenna is an English singer, songwriter and musician from Enfield, United Kingdom. Born in 1998, he works in alternative rock, indie rock and singer-songwriter styles, and is also associated with indie pop and electronic music.
Career
He wins Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition in 2015 and builds a profile through politically pointed songwriting. His music includes alternative indie-pop with influences from David Bowie.
He tours in the UK, Europe and the US. He is noted for outspoken political views, which appear in songs such as “Brazil”, a track that comments on corruption within FIFA.
