Dead Sons

Dead Sons are a UK indie rock group that forms in the spring of 2010. The band spends months working on its sound in a studio before its first performance, which takes place at Tramlines Festival to a capacity crowd.

Early releases and live activity

The group hosts its own show at the Montgomery Theatre before issuing its first official white label release, I Am the Lord. That release is followed by a UK tour. Dead Sons also release Junk Room as a free download for a limited period.

Festival and support appearances

Dead Sons play a busy live schedule around these releases. Their activity includes a return to Tramlines Festival on the main outdoor stage and a show with Club NME at Koko in London. They also support Arctic Monkeys in a custom tent at Don Valley Stadium, in one of only two UK shows on that bill.

Sound

The band’s music is described through heavy, atmospheric elements, with organ, bass and guitars given a prominent role alongside melody and percussion. Their style is associated with indie rock and stoner rock.
