De fuego

De fuego is a guitar duo specialising in instrumental flamenco and rumba-based music. The act forms in London in early 2010, when the musical paths of Edina Balczo and Davide Lufrano Chaves cross after both have been busking in different markets across the city.

Edina Balczo is a Hungarian self-taught guitarist who becomes widely known through YouTube. Davide Lufrano Chaves is Italian/Costa Rican and studies classical guitar at the Conservatorio Puccini, where he gains a master’s degree in music. Together, the pair build a reputation for energetic performance and percussion-style guitar techniques using only two guitars.

De fuego perform at a range of UK festivals and clubs, including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Cosmofestival, Small World Festival, Hootananny and Ronnie Scott’s. They also appear at Sziget in Hungary.

The duo release their first album, Bluebird, in 2012.
