David Hill
David Hill is a British organist and conductor from Carlisle, England, working in classical music, with a strong specialism in choral performance. Born in 1957, he is educated at Chetham's School of Music.
Career
Hill serves as Chief Conductor of the BBC Singers and as Musical Director of The Bach Choir. He also holds the posts of Chief Conductor of the Southern Sinfonia and Music Director of the Leeds Philharmonic Society.
He previously works as Organist and Director of Music at St John's College, Cambridge, where he succeeds Christopher Robinson. Before that, he holds the same title at Winchester Cathedral and at Westminster Cathedral.
Other roles
Hill also assumes the presidency of the Incorporated Association of Organists, succeeding Catherine Ennis.
