Daniele Mondello is an Italian hardstyle DJ and producer from Messina, Sicily. Born in 1974, he is also associated with the act D & V and with Daniele Mondello & Express Viviana.

Early career and mixing championships

He builds a reputation in Italy through DJ mixing competitions in the early 1990s. In 1990/1991 he places first in both the national championship Stagione Estiva at Cocoricò in Riccione and the Walk up championship at Acquafan in Riccione. In 1993 he takes part in the Technics DMC World Mixing Championship and reaches the final at Ministry of Sound in London, performing with four turntables at once. In the same year he wins the Italian Technics DMC Mixing Championship at the U.B. discotheque in Milan, using six turntables and three mixers in the performance. In 1994/1995 he places fourth at the Technics DMC World Mixing Championship at the Hippodrome in London, again performing with six turntables and three mixers.

Hardstyle releases and compilations

Mondello mixes the compilation series Italian Hardstyle Vol. 1, 2 and 3, which is described as having made a strong impact on the growing hardstyle scene. He also releases productions including Thunderbolt, Commander, Big Wave, Eliminat and In The Mix. A picture disc is issued for Thunderbolt.

Performances and labels

After the release of the Italian Hardstyle compilations, he plays at major hard dance events in the Netherlands and elsewhere, including Shockers, Defqon1, Qlimax, Hardbass, Decibel, Frequenze, Ground Zero, Q-Base, Mysteryland, In Qontrol, Qlubtempo, Goliath, Impulz, X-Qlusive and Emporium.
