Dan Mangan

Dan Mangan is an Australian electronica artist. He is also identified in the input as Daniel Mangan, born in Vancouver on 28 April 1983, and as a Canadian indie folk-rock singer-songwriter.

Career

Mangan tours in the United States with The Walkmen, The Decemberists and Okkervil River. In Europe, he performs at Glastonbury Festival on two occasions.

Awards and recognition

His second album, Nice, Nice Very Nice, appears on the Polaris Music Prize shortlist in 2010. At the 2012 Juno Awards, he wins New Artist of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year for Oh Fortune. He is also nominated for Songwriter of the Year for “About as Helpful As You Can Be Without Being Any Help at All”, “Post-War Blues” and “Oh Fortune”, as well as Video of the Year for the video for “Rows of Houses”, directed by Jon Busby.
