Damian Lewis CBE (born Damian Watcyn Lewis in London on 11 February 1971) is a British actor, producer and musician.
Though mostly known for his acting (winning a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award), Lewis did some busking in his early years after leaving school.
Meeting and then teaming up with American jazz musician Giacomo Smith prompted Lewis to start playing his own songs in public. Smith introduced him to some of the musicians from the Kansas Smitty’s House Band and they formed a band fronted by Lewis and started gigging.
A festival appearance at Wilderness in 2022 led to more live shows, including ar London’s Omeara, Koko, the Tabernacle and Hoxton Hall.
His debut album, "Mission Creep", was released in 2023.
