Daktyl

Daktyl is a UK-based electronic artist and multi-instrumentalist whose work sits around trap, trap EDM, electronica, ambient, rock and hip-hop. He begins producing beats in the UK as a teenager while living in a university dorm, and is later signed by Diplo’s label Mad Decent while still at university. His releases appear on Counter Records, the Ninja Tune imprint, as well as Mad Decent and Monstercat. He also runs releases through Daktyl Music and Independent Co.

Releases and collaborations

His music includes remixes for Major Lazer and Halsey. He tours with artists including ODESZA, Bonobo, Troyboi and Giraffage, and plays at Coachella. His work has attracted attention from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and BBC Radio 1, where Zane Lowe names him as a “Next Hype” artist. Online, his music receives hundreds of millions of streams.

Career

After being signed by Mad Decent, Daktyl moves from London to the United States and books his own tour across California. His profile develops through touring, remixes and label releases, making him a figure associated with the modern trap and electronic crossover scene.
