Cypher16

Cypher16 are a British metal and rock group active since 2007. The line-up listed here is Jack Doolan on vocals, guitars and synths, Stuart Deards on guitars, Carl Dawkins on bass, and Chris Woollams on drums and percussion.

Style and sound

The band combines electronic and metal influences with elements of industrial music, shaping a sound described as organic rock with progressive, alternative metal and rock traits.

Releases and recordings

Cypher16 release the EP Symphony To End It All (III) in 2008, which includes the lead track chosen for their debut music video. They also issue the mini-album The Man of the Black Abyss in 2010.

Live activity and touring

The band film their first video in Gloucester Cathedral in 2009, a location used for scenes in the Harry Potter films. The video appears on major UK music channels including Scuzz. Cypher16 then tour the United States with Mudvayne, In This Moment, Head P.E. and Nonpoint, and later play India, including Goa, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune. They are one of the first British metal bands to tour India. They also tour the UK and Europe, and play a sold-out support show for Dark Tranquillity before appearing at The Great Indian October Festival with Lacuna Coil.

Studio work and collaborators

In 2010 the band work in the studio with Dan Weller, who is associated with Sikth, Enter Shikari and Gallows, on new material.
