Croatian Amor

Croatian Amor is the project of Danish experimental electronic musician Loke Rahbek, born in 1989 and based in Denmark. Rahbek is a sound artist and a co-founder of Posh Isolation, a label and collective that grows out of noise music and becomes a central part of Scandinavian ambient, experimental and techno.

Related projects and collaborations

Rahbek works under several names and in different groups. With Lust For Youth, he makes synth pop. With Damien Dubrovnik, he works in noise music. He also collaborates with artists including Varg and Puce Mary. These different projects are presented as connected parts of the wider Posh Isolation network.

Style and context

Under the Croatian Amor name, Rahbek builds an immersive sound world that brings together ambient, noise, experimental music and spoken word. The result is described as eerie and unsettling, and the project sits within the Copenhagen DIY and avant-garde scene as well as the broader Scandinavian experimental underground.

Posh Isolation

Posh Isolation functions as a label, a collective and a wider creative community around Rahbek’s work. It is described as a family-like structure and as an important presence in both Scandinavian experimental music and the wider European scene.
