Cloud Control

Cloud Control is an Australian alternative rock group from the City of Blue Mountains, Australia. The band is known for combining alternative rock, indie rock and psychedelic rock, and it forms around guitarist and lead vocalist Alister Wright, bass player Jeremy Kelshaw, and siblings Heidi Lenffer on keyboards and vocals and Ulrich Lenffer on drums.

Career

The group signs to the independent label Infectious Music in 2010. Its debut album, Bliss Release, draws attention in the UK and Europe, with support from radio and music press and a run of live appearances that includes shows in the UK and the United States. That period includes a nine-show appearance at SXSW in Austin, Texas, support dates with Noah & the Whale, Mona and The Naked and Famous, and a headline tour in the UK that ends with a sold-out show at XOYO in London. The band also plays sold-out headline shows in Australia and supports Foo Fighters at a charity concert for Queensland Flood Relief.

Recognition

Cloud Control receives a critically acclaimed Australian Music Award. The group is also noted in music media for its live performances and for the reception to Bliss Release, which is described as a strong summer record by BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw. During its early European appearances, the band is singled out as a festival highlight and a promising new act.
