Clint Boon is a keyboardist from Oldham, United Kingdom, best known for his work with Inspiral Carpets and for leading the Clint Boon Experience!. Born in 1959, he emerges from the Madchester and britpop-era scene associated with the Manchester area.

Inspiral Carpets

He is a member of Inspiral Carpets, the band described as one of the Madchester “baggy” acts. The group breaks up in 1995, and Boon later forms a new project after that split.

The Clint Boon Experience!

Three years after Inspiral Carpets split, Boon teams up with guitarist Matt Hayden, bassist and trumpeter Richard Stubbs, keyboardist Kathryn Stubbs, and drummer Tony Thompson to form The Clint Boon Experience!. The group signs to the Rabid Badger label and issues its debut single, Only One Way I Can Go. Its follow-up, White No Sugar, reaches the UK pop charts, and a third single, Comet Theme # 1, precedes the release of the band’s first album, The Compact Guide to Pop Music and Space Travel Part One.
