Civet are a punk rock band from Long Beach, United States, active since 1999. The group is led by Liza Graves on vocals and guitar and is known for line-up changes across its history, while remaining centered on fast, guitar-driven punk.

Line-up history

The first line-up consists of Liza Graves on vocals and guitar, Suzi Homewrecker on guitar, Jackie Daniels on bass, and Bombshell Brenz, also known as Brenna Red, on drums. In November 2008, Jackie Daniels and Brenna Red are replaced by Jacqui Valentine on bass and Cat Scandal on drums. After that, Danni Harrowyn replaces Cat Scandal on drums, and Roxie Darling later replaces Danni Harrowyn. During a tour in November 2010, Jacqui Valentine and Roxie Darling leave the band, and Graves and Suzi continue the dates with help from friends on bass and drums.

Later formation

By 2011, Civet have a line-up that ends the earlier all-female formation: Liza Graves on vocals and guitar, Suzi Homewrecker on guitar and backing vocals, Jonny Grill on bass and backing vocals, and Christian Riersgard on drums.

Style

The band is identified with punk rock and has also been associated with punk, hardcore punk, riot grrrl and female vocalists.
