Citylightz are a garage rock, indie, rap and alternative act whose sound combines pop hooks, indie-rock rhythms and narrative lyrics. The band draws comparisons with artists such as The Streets and Arctic Monkeys, and also takes influence from Oasis, Guns N’ Roses and Jamie T.

The group builds a following around a hybrid style that mixes tongue-in-cheek hip-hop delivery, guitar-driven rock and an anthemic, stadium-sized finish. Their early recordings include the debut single Don’t Know Me, which reaches over 20,000 streams, and a third single, TIM, a track about anti-social behaviour.

Citylightz receive support from BBC Introducing West Midlands and play support shows with Alabama 3 and The LaFontaines. The band plans a debut album rollout built around issuing one track at a time over the course of a year, with the aim of continuing to build momentum around the release.
