Chrom
Chrom is a name used by three separate electronic acts. One is a German band formed in 2007 by Christian Marquis and Thomas Winters. Their sound combines the force and drive of EBM with the airy, techno-oriented elements of futurepop and the melodic side of synthpop, placing them in a style often compared with acts such as VNV Nation and Solitary Experiments. The result is described as a compact and versatile electronic sound with its own place between those influences.
Another Chrom is a New York duo that starts in 2003 and consists of Chris Kapica on bass and Tom Nasca on guitar. This project draws on jazz, prog rock, alternative rock and classic rock, and it uses a reversed instrumental role in which the bass takes the lead and acts as the main improvising voice. This duo is inactive.
A third Chrom is a German dance act created by the producers Marco Lietschko and Christian Sauer. In 1997, they release the Waveform One E.P..
