Celloman

Celloman is a London-based jazz group active since 2000 and led by cellist Ivan Hussey. The project begins in 2001 with the release of Aquador, and the line-up is described as a six-piece band.

Background and performances

Celloman performs widely across the UK and appears at major festivals including Glastonbury and WOMAD. The group also tours and plays internationally, with performances in Serbia, Spain, Zanzibar, Abu Dhabi, Holland and Lisbon. In Serbia, the band appears twice, and Ivan Hussey also gives a solo performance at the International Cello Festival in Belgrade in 2005. The group also performs at the Formula 1 celebrations in Abu Dhabi.

Releases

Celloman releases four albums and two EPs: Aquador (2001), Always EP (2001), Maya (2002), Paparai EP (2002), It’s All an Illusion (2003) and Sharptown (2009). Ivan Hussey also plans a solo album of acoustic string pieces titled Moods, Broods & Interludes on Jambila Music.
