Carpark North
Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock band from Aarhus, formed in 1999. The group centres on Lau Højen Nielsen, with Søren Balsner on bass and keyboard and Morten Thorhauge on drums and percussion.
The band works in rock and electronic rock, and is associated with the label Svedala. Its early releases help establish its profile in Danish alternative music, especially through a sound that combines rock instrumentation with electronic elements.
Albums and reception
Carpark North releases its self-titled debut album in 2003, and the band follows it with All Things To All People in 2005. That second album reaches the upper part of the Danish charts and receives strong reviews internationally. It includes the tracks “Human” and “The Beasts”, as well as the ballads “Fireworks” and “Heart of Me”.
