Carne

Carne is a group from Germany. The name is used by more than one band, including a two-piece act that forms in Lyon, France, in 2008 and plays a noisy sludge style built around mid-tempo riffs and heavily pounding drums. That version of Carne releases Ville Morgue in 2013 and Modern Rituals in 2016, and collaborates on both albums with Marion Leclerq, known for work with Mütterlein and Overmars. Its lyrics focus on everyday life, obsessions, boredom, cities, alternatives and procrastination.

The name also refers to a two-piece from Buenos Aires, Argentina, made up of Julio Nusdeo and Tomás Buron. That group plays avant-garde, experimental industrial rock. A further possibility is that the name is also associated with the pornogrind band C.A.R.N.E.
