Carla Lazzari is a French singer who represents France at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland with the song Bim Bam Toi, finishing fifth with 169 points. She first reaches wider attention as a finalist in the fifth series of The Voice Kids France, where Patrick Fiori mentors her. France Télévisions announces her as France’s internally selected entrant for Junior Eurovision on 11 October 2019. She describes Bim Bam Toi as a love song about a girl falling in love for the first time, feeling confused about her emotions and thinking constantly about the boy she likes.
Carla, the band
Carla is also a rock group formed in Nancy, France. The band draws influence from acts such as the Libertines and John Lajoie and describes its sound as electro-indie-rock. Its line-up includes Ole “Mongoboy” Ohlhoff, Lucas von und zu Guttenberg, Anton Schneider, and Cosma Uboldi, and the group has a French and Italian-German connection through its members.
