Captain Murphy
Captain Murphy is a Swedish rock band from Stockholm, formed in 1999. The group starts with Victor Hvidfeldt on electric guitar, Johnny Borgström on electric bass, and Sonny Boy Gustafsson on electric guitar and vocals. Tomas “Fruttas” Eriksson later joins on drums.
Albums and recording
The band records its first album in January 2004. Nicke Andersson of The Hellacopters is first considered as producer, but when he is unavailable he recommends Chips K, who produces the record. Captain Murphy is released in April 2004. The band’s second album, Human Cannonball, follows in February 2007.
Live activity
Captain Murphy tours with larger acts including Backyard Babies and the Norwegian band Gluecifer. The group remains active.
