Captain Hook

Captain Hook is a psytrance and progressive trance project from Reshef Harari, who also works under the aliases Quantize and Sheff. The project forms in 2010 and becomes known in the psychedelic trance scene for a style that sits across progressive psytrance, psy-prog, psytrance, progressive trance, and psychedelic music.

Career

Harari starts out as a DJ using vinyl, then develops the collaborative project Quantize before moving into techno-oriented releases as Sheff. He later establishes Captain Hook, under which he builds a profile as a DJ, musician, and producer.

Captain Hook releases four albums on Iboga Records and also issues numerous singles and compilation appearances. The project collaborates with Astrix, Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Perfect Stranger, LOUD, Atmos, GMS, Tetrameth, and ill.Gates.

Performances

The act performs at a wide range of festivals, parties, and venues internationally. These include Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, Burning Man, Universo Paralello, EDC, Rainbow Serpent, Fusion, Tribe, Antaris, Adhana, Psy-Fi, Dreamstate, Global Eclipse Gathering, Freqs of Nature, Earthcore, and Airbeat One.
