Cakes Da Killa

Cakes Da Killa is the performance name of Rashard Bradshaw, a queer American rapper from Teaneck and Englewood, New Jersey. He is based in Englewood and works in rap and hip-hop, with an underground and experimental association.

Early career

Bradshaw begins rapping in high school as something he does for fun before treating it as a possible career. He starts by writing tracks over instrumentals he finds online and posting the recordings on Facebook.

Recording and releases

In 2011, his homemade demos draw the attention of producer Stixx, who invites him to appear on the mixtape Downtown Mayhem Vol. 1 with Rip The Ruler. He then releases his debut mixtape, Easy Bake Oven, Vol. 1, on Stixx's Downtown Mayhem label.
