Boy Genius is an indie rock band from the United States. The name has been used by more than one act, including a Brooklyn, New York band and a British alternative/power-pop band based in Preston.

United States indie rock band

The Brooklyn band Boy Genius makes anthemic pop music that draws on both 1980s indie rock and 1960s pop as points of reference. The group is described as a “quintessential American college radio band” and releases its debut album, Anchorage, in 2008. Its second album, Staggering, is recorded and produced by Mitch Easter.

British band

Another Boy Genius is a British alternative and power-pop band from Preston. This lineup consists of Kyle Webster on guitar and vocals, Charlie Hartley on drums and vocals, and Michael Maher on bass.
