Bogart

Bogart is a German disco group from Köln, active since 1978 and led by Günter Lammers. The name is also used by other acts, including a Cologne-based experimental musician, Hubert Haverkamp, who releases cassettes in the mid to late 1980s, and a separate young rock band centred on guitarist and singer Ben “Bogart” Schwartz.

The experimental project associated with Cologne works in a lo-fi cassette format, while the later band line-up includes Josh Head on bass, Daniel Zender on drums and Matt Taylor on multiple instruments. That group works in post-modern rock and releases the track “The Girl Is An Airplane” on its 2003 album Automatron.
