BLITZ VEGA
BLITZ VEGA is an American singer-songwriter from Santa Monica, United States, whose work is associated with alternative folk, art pop, chamber pop, contemporary folk, downtempo and folk. He is associated with Amanuensis Productions.
Background
The name BLITZ VEGA is also used for a rock project based between New York City and Los Angeles and described as fundamentally British. That project features Andy Rourke, formerly the bassist of The Smiths, and frontman and guitarist Kav Sandhu of the Happy Mondays.
Releases and activity
The project debuts with the single Hey Christo in April 2019, followed by a run of singles. Its album Northern Gentleman appears in September 2024.
Andy Rourke dies in May 2023, after which Kav Sandhu completes the album and intends to tour it.
