blacklisters

blacklisters are a noise rock and hardcore group from Leeds, United Kingdom, active since 2008. The band builds its reputation on aggressive, confrontational live performances with dark humour, and its sound is compared with The Jesus Lizard, Shellac, Pissed Jeans and Kong.

Releases

The band releases two EPs, Swords on Best Enemies and Belt Party on Childhood Sweetheart. Its first full-length album, BLKLSTRS, appears on Brew Records in 2012, followed by Adult in 2015.

Live activity and touring

blacklisters tour and play shows with acts including Melt Banana, Rolo Tomassi and Chickenhawk. In 2010, they join tours by Pulled Apart by Horses and Kong, and they are selected for the BBC Introducing stage at Leeds and Reading Festivals. Later that year, they record a new track for a planned 10-inch split between Dance to the Radio and Brew.
