Black Veil Brides
Black Veil Brides are an American rock band formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and based in Hollywood, California. Their sound is associated with post-hardcore, alternative rock, glam metal, glam rock, hard rock, heavy metal and melodic metalcore, and they are also linked with emo and gothic glam. The group is active and has become known for a striking visual style influenced by Kiss and by 1980s glam metal acts.
Line-up
The band includes Andy Black on vocals, Jake Pitts on lead guitar, Jinxx on guitar and violin, Christian “CC” Coma on drums, and Lonny Eagleton on bass. Ashley Purdy is also listed as a member in the verified line-up, and the band’s personnel has included him as its former bassist.
Releases and early success
The band’s debut album, We Stitch These Wounds, is released through StandBy Records and sells nearly 100,000 copies in its first week. It reaches number 36 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Billboard Independent chart. Their second album, Set the World on Fire, is released through Lava Records and is the first album to feature Christian Coma on drums.
