Bingo Players

Bingo Players is a Dutch house and electronic music group formed by Paul Bäumer and Maarten Hoogstraten. The duo is based in the Netherlands and is active from 2006.

Career

The pair builds a reputation through club-oriented house and electro house productions, with releases and remixes that gain support in the international DJ circuit. Their early work includes a remix of UHM & Tony Flexx’s “Our House”, which helps raise their profile. In 2008 they work with Chocolate Puma on “Touch Me”, released on Strictly Rhythm/Defected, and the track reaches number one on Beatport. It also appears on compilations including Defected In The House and Sensation White.

Later in 2008, their remix of Erick E’s “Wanna Go Again” reaches the top of the Dance Tunes chart, while “Get Up” appears after strong support from DJs including Laidback Luke, A-Trak and Crookers, and is included on the 2008 I Love Techno compilation mixed by Boys Noize. Their track “Chop” becomes another club hit, reaching number two on Beatport and remaining in the top 10 for weeks. The duo also remixes tracks by Joachim Garraud, Sir James, Ron Carroll and Kristine W.

In 2009, Bingo Players again collaborate with Chocolate Puma on “Disco Electrique”, which reaches number two on Beatport. Their remake of “Devotion” tops the Beatport overall chart for a second time in November 2009 and stays at number one for two weeks. The track remains in the top 10 for more than a month.

Recognition and support

Bingo Players receive support from a wide range of DJs, including David Guetta, Axwell, Fedde Le Grand, Martin Solveig, Laidback Luke, Roger Sanchez, Sander van Doorn and Sebastian Ingrosso. They also play clubs around the world and appear at major festivals, including Creamfields in the UK.
