Beneath The Oak
Beneath The Oak is a group from Oak Ridge, United States, active from 1945 to the present. It is listed as a country, pop, and southern gospel act, with the members Gary McSpadden, William Lee Golden, Duane Allen, Richard Sterban, Joe Bonsall, and Steve Sanders.
Origins and formation
The act begins as a jam in early 2007 between Paul Wale and two friends from an old Black Sabbath-influenced rock band. It plays its first gig at the Black Swan in York and then goes on to perform many shows through several different line-ups.
Current line-up and activity
Paul later teams up with singer-songwriter Aimie J Ryan, and bassist Mark Waters joins soon afterwards to form the then-current trio line-up. The group is working on a new EP and has a busy gig calendar, with a style described as folk, acoustic, mandolin, and prog.
