Ben Taylor

Ben Taylor is a musician and actor who is the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon. His sister, Sally Taylor, is also a musician. He releases acoustic-leaning folk and folk-rock material and is associated with singer-songwriter work.

Recording career

His first released album, Famous Among the Barns, and the EP #1 are made with The Ben Taylor Band, formed with friends Adam MacDougall and Larry Ciancia. Taylor later moves away from the band arrangement and issues Another Run Around the Sun as a more acoustic solo record, closer to his family roots. That album includes background vocals from his sister and mother, with Larry Ciancia still on drums, as well as Kevin Bacon on bass guitar and production.

In 2008 he releases his third studio album, The Legend of Kung Folk: Part One (The Killing Bite), under the name Benjamin Taylor. He later tours extensively in intimate venues with Larry Ciancia on percussion and David Saw on guitar and vocals. Through 2010, Taylor and Saw continue writing, recording and releasing tracks on Taylor’s website.
