Ben L'Oncle Soul is the stage name of Benjamin Duterde, a French soul singer from Tours, France, born in 1984. He performs under the name Ben L'Oncle Soul, which translates as “Ben the Soul Uncle”.

Career

He first comes to wider attention in France with the Soul Wash EP in 2009. That release contains six cover versions, including songs associated with Gnarls Barkley, The White Stripes and the Spice Girls. In 2010 he releases his first full-length album, Ben L'Oncle Soul, which appears internationally on Motown.

Since 2010, he releases seven full-length studio albums and one live album. His most recent studio album is Sad Generation.
