Bellows is the bedroom-pop recording project of Brooklyn songwriter and producer Oliver Kalb. It begins in 2010 and is based in Brooklyn, with a first album, As If To Say I Hate Daylight, recorded using a single microphone and natural acoustic sounds drawn from the floorboards of Kalb’s house. The album is described as dealing with freezing to death and with thawing ice as a figure for being brought back into existence.

Bellows is also part of the Epoch collective, alongside artists associated with Told Slant, eskimeaux, Small Wonder and Sharpless. The project is identified with bedroom pop, while the wider name is also used by several unrelated acts, including collaborations and experimental projects.

Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti

One Bellows project is an Italian duo made up of Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti. Formed in 2006, it issues releases on labels including Kning Disk, senufo editions and Entr'acte. Its music uses guitars, turntables, tape loops, CD Walkmen, CDJs and other electronics, moving between drone, musique concrète, glitch and related electronic forms.

Greyson Charnock project

Another Bellows is an experimental folk rock project and art platform created by Greyson Charnock in 2010. It includes Sean Boyle on drums and Patrick Dunn on funk bass and classical piano, and draws on imagery of the American South and coastal landscape in its compositions and live performances.

Providence-based project

A further Bellows is an experimental doom, drone and free-jazz band from Providence, Rhode Island. It releases a self-titled self-released album in 2009 and a tape on Austrian label Noise Park Activities in 2010.
