Battlesnake

Battlesnake are an Australian hard rock and heavy metal group from Sydney, active since 2017. The band has a 7-piece lineup and plays retro hard rock and progressive rock with fantasy and science fiction themes, delivered with a tongue-in-cheek approach.

Releases and style

The group releases singles and an EP titled Myths and Legends of Gorbag's Domain, issued in 2020. Their music sits within hard rock and heavy metal, with elements of progressive rock and a strong fantasy-inflected image.

Lineup

The Sydney lineup includes Ben Frank on guitar, Billy O'key as flag bearer, Daniel Willington on guitar, Elliott Hitchcock on bass, Nick Zammit on drums, Paul Mason on guitar, and Sam Frank on vocals.

Other act with the same name

There is also a Melbourne group called Battlesnake, active as a 3-piece playing improvised free-rock, with an album titled Umlaut released in 2010. That group is separate from the Sydney band.
