Bastila

Bastila is a five-piece band from the Isle of Wight whose music is described through references to ska, indie rock and psychedelic guitar music, with tags including indie, rock, progressive, Britpop and math. The group is associated with the Isle of Wight Festival, where it is named among the acts not to miss, and it works with Sunday Best, the record label run by Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank.

The band is presented as one of the emerging acts of the late 2000s and prepares its first single for release in early 2008. Its sound is framed as combining the bleak edge of The Specials with the more tripped-out qualities of the Stone Roses.
