Bare Bones
Bare Bones is a metal project that begins in September 2006 as CoverKill, when its founder starts out by planning to play songs by one of their favourite metal bands. Because there is no interest in performing cover versions, CoverKill is put on hold in February 2007 and work begins on an original project under the name Bare Bones.
Style and name
The music is built around heavy thrash riffs reinforced by lowered guitar tuning, with a sound associated with death metal bands. The name Bare Bones comes from a song on Overkill’s 1991 album Horrorscope. Overkill are described as a legendary American thrash metal band.
Activity
The project remains focused on developing new material and playing live as much as possible.
