Babar Luck

Babar Luck is a British-Pakistani musician and songwriter who works in folk, acoustic, reggae and world-influenced styles. Born in 1970 and based between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, he develops a form of English folk music that draws on a mix of cultures and includes spoken poetry elements.

Solo work and performance style

He performs live as a solo artist with guitar, and at times appears as part of a three-piece group with Lu Edmonds on saz and Mark Roberts on percussion. His music moves away from electric guitar-driven rock towards a more stripped-back acoustic approach.

Earlier bands and associated acts

Before his solo work, Babar Luck plays bass in the ska punk band King Prawn. He is also associated with Babar Luck & The Philosophers High, The Babar Luck World Citizen Folk Band, The Babar Luck Experience and The Babylon Whackers.
