Avenue

Avenue are an English boy band formed in 2006. They take part in the third series of The X Factor in 2006 and reach the final 12 before being removed from the competition after it is claimed that they are specifically assembled for the show and have professional representation. The group continues to maintain their innocence after leaving the programme.

Career

After The X Factor, Avenue stay together and achieve brief chart success with the single Last Goodbye, which reaches the UK top 50 and tops the Scottish Singles Chart. The group is active from 2006 to 2009.

Members

Past members include Jamie Tinkler, Jonny Lloyd, Scott Clarke, Andy Brown, Max George, and Ross Candy. Jamie Tinkler later forms the indie band Baxter. Andy Brown becomes the lead singer of Lawson, and Max George goes on to join The Wanted.
