Au/Ra is the stage name of Jamie Lou Stenzel, a singer-songwriter born in 2002 in Ibiza and raised in St. John’s, Antigua after moving there in 2007. She is associated with alternative pop, dance, deep house, electronic, house and pop.

Early life

Stenzel grows up in a musical family. Her father is German producer Torsten Stenzel. Although born in Ibiza, she is raised in Antigua.

Career

Au/Ra releases her first single, “Concrete Jungle”, in 2016. The track gains wide attention and reaches more than 15 million streams worldwide. She later comes to prominence in 2018 through a CamelPhat version of her song “Panic Room”. In the same year, she features on Norwegian DJ Alan Walker’s number-one single “Darkside”. The original version of “Panic Room” passes 20 million streams worldwide.
