Atlantic/Pacific

Atlantic/Pacific is an indie pop band from Brooklyn, formed in 2008 and active from 2008 to the present. The group’s line-up includes Ian Love on lead vocals and guitar, Garrett Klahn on backing vocals and guitar, John Herguth on bass guitar and Dale W. Miller on drums.

Early releases and sound

The band self-releases its debut EP, Autumn Edition Volume 1, in 2009. That release introduces a style built around layered guitar parts and pensive melodies, with influences that include Fleet Foxes, Beach House, Washed Out and The Smiths. Atlantic/Pacific follows it with its debut album, Meet Your New Love, which appears on No Sleep Records in 2010.

Touring and festivals

Atlantic/Pacific gains attention through touring with Mercury Rev, Neil Halstead, Chamberlain and Walter Schreifels in New York and later in Europe. The band also performs at the UK’s TRUCK Festival in two consecutive years.

Later activity

After a long break, the group reunites in 2017 and releases a second album, Invisible Holiday. It continues touring until the end of 2019.
