Asoma

Asoma is a psytrance project from Sofia, Bulgaria, formed by Borislav Lazarov, Velimir Andreev and Alexander Dragomirov. The group starts in 2001, after its members become involved in psytrance in the late 1990s and begin collecting music from labels such as Spirit Zone, Dragonfly, Phonokol, Transient, Twisted, Flying Rhino and Shiva Space Technology.

Style and development

The project grows out of an interest in the early pioneers of psytrance. Its members aim to express their ideas, emotions and visions through sound, and after extensive experimentation with sound manipulation, Asoma develops its own style within the genre.

Performances and associations

Asoma plays at many local major and underground events, and also appears at the Magic Dew and Misterika festivals in Ukraine and Transylvania Calling in Romania. The project performs alongside artists including Astral Projection, Cosmosis, Laughing Buddha, Tristan, Avalon, Saiko Pod, Banco de Gaya, Scorb, Ocelot, Talpa, Arjuna, Atriohm, Shiva3, Yudhisthira and Atma.
