Asher D

Asher D is a UK rapper and actor associated with grime, hip-hop and rap, and he is known for his work with So Solid Crew. He also shares his name with another British rapper who records in a reggae and hip-hop style and releases material on the Music of Life label, often alongside Daddy Freddy.

Career

Asher D is identified with the late 1980s and early 1990s as well as the UK garage and rap scenes. He is connected to So Solid Crew, and after the group splits up he focuses on other projects.

His solo output includes the unreleased garage album Why Me, Street Sibling, Cure For Cancer Mixtape, and In Memory of the Street Fighter.

Acting

Alongside music, Asher D appears in film and television. He plays the title role in Bullet Boy, and also appears in Get Rich or Die Tryin', Stormbreaker as Wolf, and Life and Lyrics as Danny. He is also set to appear in the fourth series of the BBC drama Hustle, replacing Adrian Lester in the role of Mickey Bricks.

Asher D is a British rapper and actor named Ashley Walters. In 2002 he receives an 18-month prison sentence for gun possession and serves nine months.
