ArnoCorps

ArnoCorps is a California-based group active since 2001. It presents itself as a heavy metal and rock act with the self-styled label “arnocore.”

The group’s image and lyrics centre on action-adventure themes, with stories of futuristic battles, exaggerated physical prowess and humorous bravado. Its material also draws on Austrian folklore, which it treats as something to be retold in a direct, literal form.

The band’s debut album is recorded live in the studio. Its early identity is built around a theatrical, hyper-masculine style and a mythology that combines alpine and Californian imagery.
