Arcade State

Arcade State is a Glasgow group that forms in 2019. The band begins as a three-piece and later changes line-up in 2020, replacing the drums and bass players and adding a keys player. It also adds a fifth member on lead guitar.

Style and influences

The group sits within alternative rock and pop, and its listed genres include post-hardcore and rock. Its influences include Twin Atlantic, Biffy Clyro, Fatherson, The Xcerts, King of Leon, The 1975, Nirvana, Idlewild, Talking Heads, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Frightened Rabbit, The War on Drugs, The Paper Kites and Sam Fender.

Releases and radio play

Arcade State gains airplay on BBC Radio Scotland through BBC Introducing. Its first release with the revised line-up is The Rabbit Hole, taken from the planned EP Volume I. Other tracks from the EP include Follow, Begin to Break and Land With Me, which completes the debut EP.

The band’s listed members are Ciaran Murray on vocal and guitar, Jordan Murray on drums, David Daly on bass, Scott Frank on keys, synth and vocal, and Andy Arthur on lead guitar.

Recording activity

After the release of Volume I, Arcade State is in the process of recording new tracks for later release.
