Anna Macdonald is a singer-songwriter working in folk music with strong Celtic influences. She performs songs in Scots, English and Gaelic, and plays piano, guitar and clarsach, which she combines in her arrangements.

Her debut EP, You Held Out Your Hand, appears in 2010 and draws positive attention from national and specialist music media, including The Guardian, the Glasgow Herald, Fatea Magazine and the Bristol Evening Post. She also receives radio play and appearances on Radio nan Gaidheal, also known as BBC Radio Alba, as well as on Celtic Music Radio and BBC Radio 4’s Miller’s Tale.

She performs regularly at folk clubs and festivals, and her work is described as drawing on her Celtic roots. Her live performances and EP are noted for receiving favourable reviews across a range of outlets.
