Angels of Darkness are an Italian hardcore and hardcore techno act from Almenno S.B., near Bergamo. The project begins in September 1999, when Diego and Pietro meet after already being active as DJs and producers in the local scene.

Formation and background

Diego is 17 when they meet. He is already playing hardcore and techno from 1998 and has made a large number of tracks. Pietro is 18 and has been playing hardcore and techno from 1997. The two live in the same small town and discover that they share a strong interest in the hardcore movement, new releases in the style, and the idea of starting their own project.

Style and aims

Their work sits within gabber, hardcore, hardcore techno and electronic music. They form Angels of Darkness with the intention of contributing something significant to the hardcore scene, and they express the view that the scene needs change in order to be preserved.

Performances

The duo appear in Geneva at Appart Club on May 10. They also play at Lake Parade and Lake Sensation in Geneva on the ORBEAT mobile, performing in front of a large crowd.
