Andrea Corr is a singer and songwriter from Dundalk, Ireland. She is the lead singer of The Corrs and writes most of the lyrics for the band, which she forms with her older siblings Caroline Corr, Sharon Corr and Jim Corr. She also plays the tin whistle.

Born in 1974, Corr is the youngest child of Jean and Gerry Corr, both musicians. She and her siblings form The Corrs to audition for the 1991 film The Commitments. All four appear in the film, but Corr is the only one with a speaking part.

She later appears in Evita, where she plays Juan Perón’s mistress. Alongside her work with The Corrs, she is associated with the Ronnie Wood Band and with Various Artists for Children’s Promise.

Corr also records a solo album, Ten Feet High, produced by Nellee Hooper. She plays piano on the record, and the single from it is Shame On You (To Keep My Love From Me). Her work is mainly in pop and chart music, alongside her role in Irish folk-rock.
