Alunah

Alunah is a doom metal group from Birmingham, active since 2006. The band is associated with doom metal, metal and psychedelic music, and is not the same act as “aluna”.

Background and line-up

The band starts out in Birmingham in 2006, with roots in the city’s “Sabbath City” scene. The current line-up consists of Daisy Savage on vocals, Dan Burchmore on bass, Matt Noble on guitar and Jake Mason on drums. Former members include Siân Greenway on vocals, Dean Ashton on guitar, Andy Barnett on bass, David Day on guitar and Sophie Day on guitar and vocals.

Recordings

Alunah release seven full-length albums: Call of Avernus, White Hoarhound, Awakening the Forest, Solennial, Violet Hour, Strange Machine and Fever Dream.

Live work and festivals

The band tour with The Obsessed and Mondo Generator, and appear at festivals including Damnation, Uprising and Hard Rock Hell. They also play European dates with Saint Vitus, Trouble, Paradise Lost, High on Fire, Fu Manchu and The Sword. Festival appearances include DesertFest in Germany and England, Heavy Days in Doom Town in Denmark, Up in Smoke in Switzerland and Hard Rock Hell in Wales.

Alunah build a reputation as a steady live band with a high volume of activity on the road.
