Allez Allez

Allez Allez is a Belgian group from Brussels, active from 1981. It is a new wave and funk-influenced post-punk act led by Sarah Osborne, and it is associated with the Belgian scene and female-led vocals.

Formation and early line-up

The group develops out of the band Marine. When singer Marc Marine dies in London, Sarah Osborne, formerly of Repetition, joins and the group carries out a planned Peel session before adopting the name Allez Allez.

Releases and line-up changes

After the release of Promises, Sarah Osborne leaves the band. She is replaced by Afro-American singer Jackie Irwin from New York, although this line-up does not last. Bass player Marka later finds success as a singer in the French-speaking part of the world.

Later activity

In 2017, a series of concerts is organised with a new singer. The group’s line-up is listed as Marc Desmare, Kyoko Baertsoen, Paul Curtiz, Kristiaan Debusscher, Stef Debusscher, Paul Delnoy, Nicolas Fransolet, Sarah Gregory and Marka.
