Ali Love
Ali Love is a UK electronic and dance artist whose music draws on house, disco, indie pop and classic pop and rock. He begins with drum and bass in his mid-teens, then develops a deeper interest in club culture after discovering Secret Sundaze, a London East End party that runs from noon to midnight and becomes a major influence on his work. He describes that club as the closest thing, in recent years, to a true acid house experience, with eclectic music and a crowd from many places gathered under a large disco ball.
He writes and performs from the United Kingdom and is born in 1982. His debut album, Love Music, is shaped as a tribute to hedonism, the anticipation of a night out, dancing, and encounters on the dancefloor, with space travel imagery also appearing in the songs. The track “Secret Sunday Lover” pays direct tribute to Secret Sundaze.
Ali Love also provides vocals on “Do It Again”, the first single from The Chemical Brothers’ album We Are the Night. He is associated with the act Ignition and with the duo Infinity Ink.
